Two Worlds Apart

I live in a world far away from the one here,

I live in a world where I haven’t embraced the reality,

I live in a world where life isn’t so brutal as it is right here, right now.

 

As the inevitable doom awaits me,

I don’t know if I should succumb to the pain just yet.

The impending disaster is looming by the horizon,

I can’t think straight, I am left clueless.

 

I  know not whether to leave this world and face the music,

Or continue to live in the world that is my safe haven.

Sooner or later I have to acknowledge the world of hurt and pain,

So for now, the world of numb is where I will be.
